Come see me

Those are not the words you want to see written across your first homework assignment.

But alas those are the words that were written across my first homework assignment.  I sat in class the rest of the morning beating myself up, second guessing myself and all around feeling miserable.  It was not what I wanted to see at all and did not anticipate it.

Let me tell you about my professor for this class.  This man is an unmedicated ADHD and I can say this because I live with 2 children that have ADHD and know when they have had their meds and when they have not.

So we are in the middle of lecture this morning and we are talking about Columbus and how he was looking for gold etc.  All of the sudden he stops looks at a student and says, " I see you are wearing a Texas Rangers shirt this morning are you mocking me?  Then looks at the rest of the class and says the Angels played Texas in a weekend series and we lost.

Are you freaking kidding me?  What does that have to do with History 17A??  He does this every lecture and it makes it hard to follow him.

We are supposed to be starting chapter 2 this week and he is just now getting to stuff I read back in chapter 1.  He is a week behind on his lectures.

So needless to say I have an appointment with him on Thursday to discuss my poor performance on the homework assignment.

And now Joshua is having an issue in school and being sent to the principals office or having to do sentences every day because he can not stop talking, making noises etc.

Ahh the life of a mother and student..

First day of school!

Finally after 3 weeks the day was here.  I was all packed and ready to go.  The night before I got everything ready packed my book bag to where all I had to do was grab it and go.

I got up early, got Jaxson on the bus, ate a good breakfast and then got in the shower to get ready.  I even had a good hair.  What could go wrong right?  You are thinking to yourself Nothing, you did everything right.
Well little did I know I looked at the schedule wrong and I ended up being 20 minutes late for my first class.  Yes you read that right 20 minutes late on my first day of college.  I was beating myself up all the way to school.

So I get to the college and I walk into class with my head hung down in shame and thank god my professor was AWESOME about it.  He let me get settled and then said, " I would rather have you show up late then not at all."  WHEW!!!  Deep breath okay I can handle this.

My first class was History from Columbus to the Civil War, its going to be a lot of reading and a lot of class discussions but I am looking forward to it.  I pulled A's in history should be a piece of cake.

I had a 2 hour break between my classes today so I headed towards the cafeteria so I could do my online class and regroup.  Everything was going great til I had 3 football players decide to invade my table.  Here I am eating my peanut butter and jelly from home minding my own business and plop they sit down.  One kid there had (2) Tuna Melt sandwiches, 2 things of tater tots and fries, some fruit, cookies and 3 milks.  One of his friends gave him a hard time and said he should share with me but the one with the food said no.  So we got to chatting and come to find out I am old enough to be their mother.  That was so disturbing....  Note to self don't sit at that table next time.

Last class for the day English 1A.  Everyone says piece of cake no problem class you can do it.  My professor is the type that is extremely intelligent and not comfy in his own skin.  Does that make sense?  Well he has decided that we are not going to read a book and write a report on it like the rest of the other classes.  Oh no we are going to do a Research driven Thesis paper.  OH JOY!!  Not one person in the class was happy about that at all.

I am dreading this class right now but after today's class I can see where he is going but feeling a little overwhelmed.

Tomorrow I have Early child development and Math.  Lets hope I can get there on time.
